Hidden Sexology the Film is a poetic and filmic exploration of some of the familiar and hidden sites of sexual encounters in Glasgow.
In May 2015, six writers invited audiences to join them on a walk through the city centre to hear poems inspired by the themes of the Wellcome Collection's Sexology Season – this happened at sites of drunken, romantic, fetish sex, cottaging, prostitution and sexual violence. They were accompanied by sexologist Dr. Jamie Lawson who talked about the research into our behaviour and attitudes to sex and how it affects health policies, services and personal well-being.
Artist Peter Hastie has used footage recorded during the walk and other locations in Glasgow for Hidden Sexology the Film.
Poets: Anita Govan, Agnes Torok, Donna Campbell, Chris Young, Marc Marc, Robert Anderson
